Jeanne Tyson is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer and filmmaker. Jeanne has shot several features, as well as dozens of shorts and documentaries. Her work has been featured in film festivals worldwide. Her latest features include, The Lovely Rejects directed by Judy Phu & August in Berlin directed by Becky Smith, both of which are currently in post-production. Limo Ride directed by Gideon C. Kennedy and Marcus Rosentrater premiered in 2014 at the Atlanta Film Festival, and has played at a variety of other festivals worldwide. The film will be released in April of 2016. Jeanne is currently working on a wide variety of projects. The Room Actors: Where Are They Now? directed by Robyn Paris is a series pilot that takes a tongue-in-cheek, satirical look at how The Room actors’ lives have changed since appearing in best, worst movie ever made. Four Day Weekend directed by Nicole Jackson Jones is a short film centered around a couple’s experiences during a four day break from each other. Additionally, Jeanne is in development on a slate of independent film projects for High Blue Sky, a production company she owns with sister and producer, Elizabeth Tyson. Jeanne frequently lectures on cinematography, directing, and production. She is a lecturer in the Department of Film, Television and Digital Media at UCLA. She was the coordinator for the first year production graduate program last year, and has served as the coordinator for the cinematography program for the last two years. Some recent engagements include the Film Independent Director’s Toolkit Series, the Warner Brothers Director’s Workshop, and she was a featured speaker for the Lillian & Morrie Moss Endowment for the Visual Arts at Rhodes College.
