Hannah Engelson is a cinematographer and documentary filmmaker. With a background in photojournalism, she specializes in capturing compelling moments while utilizing a cinéma vérité approach. Her versatility as a cinematographer has led her to capture the infectious energy of Guadeloupe’s carnival, the unnerving news in a doctors office and a shout erupting from a worship service. She has contributed to various publications and broadcasts including VICE News Tonight, Business Insider, NBC Universal, The World Channel as well as numerous independent short and feature length documentaries. In her spare time she can be found creating stop-motion animations or collage cards or at a nearby theater catching a movie.
