Cynthia Pusheck became a member of the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers in 2013. She has served three terms as one of the Vice Presidents, and is also a co-chair of the ASC Vision Committee. The Vision Committee works towards supporting those in under-represented groups to build a career in cinematography. From the Chicago area, Cynthia attended Columbia College, studying film production and gravitating towards camera and lighting. After college she moved to Los Angeles and began working her way up in the camera department, along with shooting short films, documentaries and indie features. In 2003 Cynthia began working on CSI Miami as a camera operator, and soon she was was shooting the 2nd unit, and eventually a main unit episode. Since that time Cynthia has worked as the Director of Photography on shows such as “Brothers & Sisters” and “Revenge” for ABC, “Good Girls Revolt” for Amazon, “Strange Angel”, for CBS All Access, and “Sacred Lies” for Facebook Watch. One thing that Cynthia loves about working in television is the variety of projects and the chance to work with so many different directors. She feels it allows for great opportunities to continue to grow in her craft, which keeps the work fresh and exciting.
