Bonnie Elliott ACS is an award-winning cinematographer who works across drama, documentary and video art. After shooting her first feature, My Tehran for Sale in Iran in 2008, her ten feature films include These Final Hours, Spear, Undertow, Palm Beach, Slam and H is for Happiness. Recent series drama includesStateless, created by Cate Blanchett, Tony Ayres and Elise McCredie for Netflix, and The Hunting, which continued her collaboration with director Ana Kokkinos after the acclaimed Seven Types of Ambiguity, for which she won an AACTA Award for Best Cinematography in Television, becoming the first female cinematographer ever to win this award. Working with visual artist Angelica Mesiti for the last decade, their most recent project is Assembly, a three-channel video installation for the Australian Pavilion of the 2019 Venice Biennale. Bonnie loves the alchemical beauty of filmmaking and works intensively with her collaborators to realise a vision for the screen. She is always searching for the emotion within the image.
